Awful stuttering on high end system
GTX 1080 ti 16 gb ram, 4790k etc.

This game worked beautifully for me last spring when it came out, a stutter here or there in intense scenes, but it was butter most of the time.

Now I've reinstalled and its just absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ no matter what. it'll even show a sold 60 up in the counter but somehow still stutter like crazy and constantly too

I've done every trick I could find on the internet. Moved Uplay, moved far cry, seperated them on different drives, I even edited a registry to force the game into high CPU priority. I've done all the Nvidia CP settings and just nothing.

Please someone help

I also went back into Nvidia CP and turned triple buffering off, set Vsync to ON, not FAST and Turned Threaded Optimization back to AUTO.

I once again have the smooth flowing game I was playing less than year ago on release.

ENJOY

As far as I can tell, browsing forums and such, the game is broken and Ubisoft clearly has no intention of fixing it. Definitely not buying New Dawn now. Just wanted to do a quick replay of this game first, but no, it's broken.
A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

In the game itself go to options and then go to Enable Frame-rate Lock. Put to ON. Then put Frame-rate Lock to 60. Then make sure Resolution scale at 1. I have Vsync off but set to fast in NVIDIA. I am running on 3840x2160 Ultra with 1080ti also At Smooth as Ice 60 FPS and it took a little tinkering but can be achieved. I did nothing special but the main thing was locking the Frame-rate at 60fps. Seriously try it. Hope i have helped.

Same thing goes for Far Cry 3, 4 and New Dawn. Stutter almost every second. But not on consoles, 4 and 5 run 99% stutter free.

Start a new thread, post specs.

I don't experience stutter maxed settings 1080p.

Ps, look at the thread date.

Stutter could be related to autosave. Check out the Resistance mod on PC, it should have a workaround for the stuttering.
