STORY MISSIONS SUCK: Sacrifice the Weak is an annoying and extremely boring interruption
I'm not even talkin' about whether it's easy or difficult; that's not the point.

There needs to be a way to skip this crap.
Why?
Because it's not fun. That's why.

Easy, hard; it doesn't matter. I was doing something fun and the game decided that we can't have that, so it decides, "Oh, I know...how about a timed mission that's extremely dull! That's the thing to do!"

Seriously, please tell me that there is a way for these missions to either just end or not happen in the first place, because it's interrupting what is otherwise an enjoyable experience.

Easy answer. Don't play it.

It will end if you complete the region.

It won't let me not play it.

Oh, you mean the whole game? But I like the rest of the game.
Surely, that was obvious from the OP.

It will? That's good to know; thanks.

Still, it'd be nice if you could turn it off or only have to do it once, cuz my gosh, that's annoying, these interruptions when I'm having a good time.

Honestly, Farcry games where it's just base-taking would be badass, like if Arcade had the main map as an Outpost map or something. That would be amazing. I'd play the Dickens out of that.

Every time it triggers it means you're progressing in the story. Each region has a similar mechanic. As you fill the bar for the region you will trigger story quests. So you can "kind of" control this.

Oh, is that what that bar does. If there was a tutorial, they never made it clear what that bar actually meant; I thought it meant they feared me, and that's why all of a sudden all the airplanes.
(Just as an aside, I love that part of it, when airplanes come after you, and you can do the same. I love flying the choppers. Sure, they might be shooting at me--and they mean it!--but being strafed is exciting. This game can really sell a mood, even if these story missions are :turd:.)

Never heard of it, but thank you; I'll look.

I presume I can find it on Nexus if it'd not anywhere else, aye?

Never tried it, but just google. I think it was removed from Nexus. You can also try search on this forum as many players use it.

Mm, yeah, you're right; I found a link posted to the forums from about four years ago going to Nexus, and that was broken, content not found.

Still, thanks.
To the Google machine...away! :kenahappy:

As far as i know the mod is "safe". It's been around since the the game was released.
It was released because players hated interruptions. But i never tried it myself.

It's being a giant being about the whole thing.

I'm trying to download and install that mod manager and it's just...not working.

It couldn't be easy, eh?

As i sad i never used the mod and i don't know how to install mods. Try search in this forum or web. It's been many postings about this.

Edit: Or just wait for players using the mod replay.
