Achievements not synchronizing to Steam

Checked that I have achievements in Connect, downloaded and played the game on Steam
and nothing. What gives?

As far as I can tell, achievements were not introduced properly, they did a workaround. They have no steamworks flags, but rather they get a one time sync from Uplay/Ubi Connect. Meaning you have to be connected to the Ubi Connect services to get them to sync on steam and if they dont get synced properly but Ubi Connect gets notified it synced then you are out of luck.

Also if they decide that Ubi Connect gets shut down, all of these achievements will be permanently bricked.

The achievements are bugged as hell. After todays play session I've unlocked around six achievements, all of them with bizzare timestamps: 10th of October 2007. And that is kinda impressive, if you think about it, because according to Steam, I achieved them not only more than a decade before they were even conceptulised, but also two months before I made my Steam account.
Who knows, maybe my next set of achievements will be dated before the time I was born:O

I just logged into the game and the achievements didn't sync. I have all the achievements, but they didn't come over to steam. Is that it then? No second chances?

Try a full uninstall and reinstall of the Connect software.
