I am not going into bios. it probably needs to be updated as well. I'll just install it on my Laptop. I've already beat the game anyways. I was noticing the game was maxing out one of my cores at 4.6Ghz with the others practically idle. What is this? 2010? lol. If it was a new game I'd be upset but what ever.

Been with PC's since 1978 , yep I know nothing of hardware - OS's - HOW STUFF WORKS

Kids know so much more! FACEPALM!

What? who are you referring to? lol or did someone delete their comment?

I play this game on 16gigs ram and gtx980, without any issues. Current drivers. Division 1 + 2 as well.
Not sure why a RTX4080 would have problems.
I have a 7800X3D. CPU temperature is around 72-75°C, with usage at 15-20%. My CPU cooler runs at full speed, approximately 1800 RPM. However, I’m more concerned about the significant stuttering this game experiences on AMD GPUs. I have a 7900 XTX, and the game is a stuttery mess for me.

Cap the FPS to 60, you are welcome.

what do you mean melting? what are your cpu temps? under 80C and you shouldn't be worried if you're on an air cooler and have an overclocked cpu (which includes any amd cpu with an X after its number).

yes mine is running at 85-87 and peaks at 82 under stress test and benchmarks lol
pcgamingwiki does state that the game has an issue with x3d cpus running at full load and getting real hot

the solution is to alter windows power management profile to 99% on the cpu

probably could use process lasso aswell to do something similar
limit the framerate, it's uncapped by default

Read the responses. that does nothing to fix it

You'd think by now hardware engineers and software developers would understand what it requires to prevent these things from happening :steamfacepalm:

ive got differnt cpu 5700x3d and 7700xt gpu. temps are about 60 on cpu, game is stuttering a little bit while traveling fast

I have an R5 3600X and a 3070 and the FPS still dips below 60.
This really shouldn't be happening. Not sure why it is.
Go to power settings (the old settings window from earlier windows) -> Advanced -> CPU energy settings and limit the "max CPU power limit" (or whatever it is called in english) to 99%. This prevents your CPU from constantly boosting the frequency to the max.
Seems to be some sort of bug

And no, its not a joke. And the solution I did not discover but found it idk where. But I can tell you, it works also in 2025! Try it and give feedback.
