WARNING FOR CO-OP PLAYERS PLANNING ON BUYING FC5

The game requires you to finish the prologue and the first island to "enable" co-op, which takes around 40 minutes to 1 hour. Thing is, in-game invites don't work, and Ubisoft Connect doesn't send invites to your friend despite you pressing the "invite button" countless times. There are multiple accounts of this issue on Reddit and Steam. It is prevalent specifically on FC5.

And the prologue and tutorial duration are dangerously close to the 2 hour refund period.
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME TROUBLE-SHOOTING THE GAME,
AND DON'T BUY THIS GAME IF YOU'RE MAINLY FOR CO-OP!

Edit for the responses:
- Breakpoint, Wildlands, AC Unity, and R6 Siege were some of the online games I've played, had no issue partying w/ friends, except FC5.
- Game was released 5 years ago advertised with co-op, to go through hoops just to make it work is unacceptable for a AAA title.
- I was pertaining to both prologue and tutorial (Dutch's Island) when stating the duration can take up to 1 hour.
- Internet speed is fine, can play online games with no latency/ping issue.
- The prompt "allow friends to join game whenever online" has shown up, and we've both allowed it. Still no invites.

Co-op is so much fun in FC5.

If you haven't got the patience to deal with less than 1h single player so that you can then do 40+ hours of fun in co-op then I don't know what to say. Other than it's your loss.

For sure, this game is probably my favorite of all time, just got it last spring and have nearly 400 hours in it.
Also one way to make it easier for coop is to find in the game settings one option that says something like "allow friends to join game whenever online", makes it so much easier, also you need at least five mb download and probably two of upload for it to work without issues.

I just finished this game not too long ago in co-op and while it's a bit counter-intuitive it does work.
