Graphics settings aren't retained
Can't find a thread with a solution to this issue for Far Cry 5 which graphics settings aren't retained when the app is re-opened.

I've got a 1440p monitor and it keeps turning my resolution to 1080p as well as other graphics settings which is quite annoying as it drops the graphics quality by a lot.

Got a 2070s and can run the game at 1440p with high settings.

I run the game 4k which is 2160 which is way beyond 2k .My settings never change. Over 1400 hrs .Can only guess some app running in the back ground creating a conflict Some crap security not allowing.... I never allow any security near my PC . I even turn STEAM off when I play UBI games as I never buy them from steam. It is not the game , it is your system that is not "allowing" settings to be saved. Seek and ye shall discover it!

Thank you for the insight. I've check windows security and allowed farcry5.exe to make changes on my documents folders. Maybe the config isn't save because my folders are protected. Will try and keep this tread updated for solution.

It is usually good practice NEVER to install games in the Program files folder to avoid Windows Protected file and User Account Control issues,
Generally create a folder called "Games" and place it in the root directory, something like that especially if using mods. Kind of odd with just the config though as that is common practice for files like that to be accessed by programs.

Agree on this and this is the setup i currently uphold to. My Games are on a separate NVME drive letter and G.

It's now retaining settings. I think it's the config files of games that are by default saved on documents directory instead of the installation path. Windows security has a default folder protection for user folder does might have caused the issue.

This has been solved. Thanks everyone!
