Thank you for the insight. I've check windows security and allowed farcry5.exe to make changes on my documents folders. Maybe the config isn't save because my folders are protected. Will try and keep this tread updated for solution.
Generally create a folder called "Games" and place it in the root directory, something like that especially if using mods. Kind of odd with just the config though as that is common practice for files like that to be accessed by programs.
Agree on this and this is the setup i currently uphold to. My Games are on a separate NVME drive letter and G.
It's now retaining settings. I think it's the config files of games that are by default saved on documents directory instead of the installation path. Windows security has a default folder protection for user folder does might have caused the issue.
