8bitdo Controller in Far Cry 5

My 8bitdo Wireless Controller is not working in Far Cry 5 but when I plugged my wired xbox 360 controller and it works, what do I need to do to use 8bitdo?

it not a supported game pad

you can try setting it up in your steam settings

if that fails to work use a supported game pad

How do you know it's a DirectInput controller?

8bitDo make a bunch of controllers for a variety of platforms, including xbox (IE Xinput).

I have a "8bitDo Pro2" which works perfectly with FC5.
