what the heck is "easy anti-cheat" ?

I have played far cry 5 begginning to end and half way through a second playthrough, with hardly any of the multiplayer map, I have never cheated on this game or any for that matter, but now i can;t launch because "easy anti cheat" isn;t installed? rediculous!

First go to steam
Next right click far cry 5
Then click properties, then local files.
Next browse local files.
Then double click on your bin folder
Then double click on your easy anti cheat
There should be a application called easyanticheat_setup
Double click on that and he told me that it did a brief update and he was able to launch far cry 5.

So having an anti-cheat program for a multiplayer game is now ridiculous? I would understand if this is strictly singleplayer, but it isn't (I think it should be, but that's another topic).

not what i am saying, why can;t I play it anymore. why out of the blue did my game quit working, why is cheating now a concern that they have to make my game unplayable. that is the problem

It has nothing to do with that. It's probably a steam or PC issue, steam sometimes has to reverfiy files. So, do what the first guy suggested.

its not a steam or pc issue, I have no problem with any other game, its a UBISOFT problem, only games from ubisoft cause me headaches

No, Easy Anti Cheat has been with Far Cry 5 since it released. Easy Anti Cheat is also used by non-ubisoft games. So, maybe something did screw up and requires a reinstall or something, not a big deal. Bugs happen with computer programs.

as I have said, its ONLY ubisoft games that give me this kind of grief, i installed the easy anti cheat certificate and verified files, that seems to have fixed the issue. still frustrated at ubisoft, half the time i want to play one game or another it doesn't work. if it was a computer issue i think i'd be havign issues with all games would i not?

Check your Uplay, that might be causing the issue if it is only Ubisoft games.
