you play the single player wich have story elements into it (not going to discuss how good or bad it is) so it shouldent be suprizing you get some unskipable story related scenes, deal with it, or stick to arcade for mindless action.
Thats a really stupid point of view. What is really mindless, is going through the same cutscenes, wasting your time on something you already know, when you were planning on focusing and exploring something you've missed before. Go and read The Witcher series lets say 10 times (all books, from the first one to the last one). No matter how good the story (content) is, being forced to waste time on something you already know would annoy every sane person. If you dont see the problem, then you're the mindless one.
.if your playing Single player yes .. the game has a story ..so sorry but yes single player games have stories the DEVS work on ...and wanna tell ..
and show the work they put in ...in the motion capture studio's they used with the actors so the animators get work too
the only really unskippable scene is the opening prologue that sets up a story ..that's true with many many games ..not just ubisoft ones
sorry but............. yes games do tell stories these days ..even if you think the story
stinks ..you just said you go watch TV .. many shows also have bad stories too .. but you watch anyway (many TV shows are repeats you have already seen )
think of it as a chance to go get a snack or a beverage for gods sake ...
just like you do when a commercial break comes on tv
Like I got ♥♥♥♥ to do in my day, I just need a half hour to unwind by killing some peggies. I don't have time for a dumb slow walking cutscene or trying to beat a timed brainwash thing were if I get killed I have to start all over again.
There are other scenes too but those ones in particular stand out. First playthrough they were the coolest. Second and third were fun too. But after that it's a bad joke. Can't escape it and if I step out IRL to go do something I fail the cutscene and have to repeat all over again because my Rook wasn't walking along.
Anyway, thanks for letting me gripe. It's a great game and a great way to unwind. Just if wishes were horses - whatever the hell that phrase means.
