For many, a good ending is one that provides closure to the narrative by revealing the meaning of all the prior foreshadowing and resolving all the dramatic conflicts.
In that way, the walk away ending isn't the good ending.
I would call that a feel good ending. Far Cry games haven't had feel good endings since the first. But hey, whichever ending you like is the good ending for you. The game has both endings included for a reason. Though the resist ending is considered the true ending.
I've seen others comment that the game loops you back until you pick the resist ending. That's the intended or 'true' ending.
You kill everyone in the car and presumably yourself at the end of 'walk away'. Only You plays
Regardless of choice, before reaching Joseph's Compound you can hear on the radio a news broadcast stating Moscow got bombed along with the Middle East and tensions with Korea, along with no hope for peaceful negotiations anymore.
WW3 happens regardless of choice, the "walk away" ending is just shorter and ends before the bombs would be shown to go off, the bombs had nothing to do with the cult.
Both endings are bad, no ending is good in FC5.
