There is a mod on Nexus that get's rid of the intro movies, maybe that will help.
With steam started (Obvioulsy) and Ubisoft NOT:
53 Sec to splashscreen
1:33 to menu
And with Ubisoft already open:
49 Sec to splashscreen
1:22 to menu
My Setup:
i7 5820K 3.30Ghz OC to 4.37Ghz
Asus Strix X99 Gaming board
Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000Mhz
EVGA FTW 1080 1721Mhz (default speed) & 2025Mhz Boost
I have and have had loads of ubisoft games like now I'm playing Tom Clancy's The Division, Assassin's Creed Origins & Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands and they start normally as they should, pretty quick. So I have no idea why this game is differ, Also I've played Far Cry 4 on this pc and that was ok!
Wait, since when do devs in 2018 put out a game and then never update it? All the games in my library want an update every month, there's always ongoing support and dlc these days...
And I mean, I need KANGZ dlc.
There won't be in the case of Far Cry 5. The developers have already stated there won't be any more updates for the game. Fixes might be coming, but content updates/new community events have ceased for now.
excatly dude, im still getting updates from GTA5, Fallout 4, Dying Light and other games. Plus as supreme said too "they will update bugs and other game fixes. So to me this is needing a fix
You said 19 sec for your load, is your system like the DDR4 4000Mhz, X299 with a X7980XE cpu or the Ryzen 7 2800x and either gtx 1080ti or the rtx 1080ti, and do you also have an M.2 for windows and is this the drive where your far cry 5 is installed, then I'm wondering if this is why it's loading so quick for you?
Or does everyone else load just as quick as Hoonose even with a simlar setup to mine
Why not, Kmart?
Mine only takes about 25-30 seconds (didn't stopwatch it but it's quite fast) with specs not too different from yours, but I do have the OS, UPlay and FC5 on my M.2 SSD. Mine is the UPlay only version of the game and not the Steam version.
Specs:
i7-6800K @4.2GHz on all cores
ASUS ROG STRIX X99 GAMING (1801 BIOS)
32GB G.Skill TridentZ 3200MHz DDR4 (4x8GB quad channel kit running XMP)
EVGA GTX 1080 FTW (v416.34 drivers)
1TB Samsung 960 EVO M.2 NVMe SSD (OS and some high I/O games, including FC5)
2x 512GB Samsung 850 Pro SATA SSDs in RAID 0 (other games that benefit from SSD)
5x 3TB Toshiba 128MB Cache 7200 RPM HDDs in RAID 5 (storage and other games that are OK on HDD)
I think this is why it seems faster start up because its all on your M.2 ssd
with a samsung evo 840 SSD
was the same when game shipped i see NO issue with the games start up time ???
gives me a min to grab a cold beer or snack
