Haha ♥♥♥♥ that. After that joke of an ending? No thanks!
and no the father had nothing to do with the nukes , had you listened to the radio broadcasts at the end when in the car
the reason they land on MONTANA also you possibly missed .. as that's where yes the USA has many hidden NUKE silo bases and has had them them there for decades
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/341st_Missile_Wing_LGM-30_Minuteman_Missile_Launch_Sites
so yes Montana would be a first strike target

sorry not all games have a snuggly happy ending for you
Thank you for that link . I had a vague understanding of the Book of the Revelations due to the attempt of brainwashing during my childhood . To quote the song , " I can see clearly now ".
Thank you for clearing that up for me in the last post. So the way I see it is that no matter what happened in Montana the nukes were going to go off even if John Seed existed or anyone involved for that matter due to the political climate set in this game outside of Montana.
Also it isn't about have a good ending, It's that it turns out in the end that everything you just did meant nothing. But now that I see that it wasn't John Seed just blowing up the world (I originally thought it was one nuke he set off in Montana because was was dying as a last ditch effort) I'm not as upset anymore.
The news broadcasts on the radio station often make reference to trouble in various parts of the world
Joseph could have had political/military contacts who tipped him off about an inevitable incoming attack from abroad. (Such powerful contacts/friends may also explain how he was able to obtain so many weapons/hardware etc).
There's really nothing in the game to suggest that Joseph had access to nuclear weapons himself. He just knew they were coming...
I didn't pay too close attention to the story I think that's why or at least in the parts where it really mattered. I just kinda assumed that was his last trick up his sleeve if he ever got caught or something
So you post complaining you do not understand the ending, kind of hinting its the games fault, whilst just admitting you were not paying close attention to the storyline, kind of explains itself really....Pebcak at its best.
Except that does not happen. New Dawn
I didn't pay close attention to the little things they hinted at because I was just playing the game yes. The ending was still bogus in my eyes and that's my opinion.
You are totally fine not to like the ending, that is not the issue, its the fact you complained you could not understand the ending, while at the same time admitting you were not really paying attention to the story. ? Its like well obviously.
Anyhoo at least you know now, also fyi I hate the ending too. I do think there should have been possibly a 3rd option, but then again there are a few games with what I would call bad endings. (plus a 3rd option might have messed up new dawn).
