PvP was never especially popular. Probably because there's always been cheaters, even since launch.

There is no co-op matchmaking in the game. You can only do co-op with people on your Uplay friendlist.

That sucks no wonder this is on sale for $12, I wanted to create some crazy maps with a bunch of yetis and play them with others.

I'm using a nvidia shield tv to play this can I play coop with others still? Do I have to go online let's say a tablet or phone to add friends then play coop on my shield tv?

Nvidia shield tv is basically an android box which you can put apps on and includes GeForce now which means certain compatible games like this one you can stream at ultra settings as long as you have good internet.
