You guys think Ubisoft will put future games back on Steam?
I know they said they won't put their new games on Steam starting with Assassin's Creed Vahala and seems like Far Cry 6 won't be on Steam but hopefully they are bsing and want to milk their games like game companies do when they release games on console first then on PC. I'd like it this way anyways, for the games to not be on PC/Steam then they come out with a complete edition since I have no problem waiting for games to be $30 or less.

What we think is completely irrelevant.
Who cares if they're on steam or not? I don't see the difference. If you have a PC you can still play them. It's no big deal. Valve takes a massive cut of profits so this is their way of increasing the bottom line. Good for them.

i see no difference if i can not buy em on steam i will buy em on UBI connect and use my UBI points for a discount

same way i bought far cry Primal , far cry 5 and many other UBI titles

but no i do not think UBISOFT will return to steam without a new revenue sharing package , as Valve takes 30 % off the top of the games and all DLC sold on steam .. epic and the MS store only take 12% ..hence UBI left steam in 2019

Until valve drop the revenue, witch is unlikely to happen, Ubisoft will not be releasing they games here.

It has nothing to do with Valve getting a 30% cut(the same amount Sony and MS get from them but Ubisoft doesn't comply). It has to do with politics and China//Tencent/EGS trying to disrupt the PC gaming market.

Strange how Ubisoft doesn't "leave" Sony and MS when it comes to consoles, after all they get the same 30% cut there.

Epic's ceo said that their current business model is unsustainable on the long run. So Yes, the exclusivity deal will end. The when is unknown though.

Using their platform + a competitor platform garuntees that they'll get more money, if they ever stop it'd probably just be putting it on UPlay only, and maybe down the line releasing somewhere else.

Ubisoft might want some of that Steam Deck money.

Pretty sure as long as you can play it on PC you can still play it on here, just have to configure it yourself to allow it. Might require having to use a monitor... so might be redudant.

Not being on Steam doesn't mean it wont get a windows release lol

It just means they want to keep it on their online store.

Having to access Ubisoft Connect through STEAM would be asinine. I prefer just 1 level of DRM instead of 2. Though I would rather just see Ubisoft release their games on GOG without the DRM. Assassin's Creed, Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell were a good start.

They will at some point, the Epic Game Store is bleeding money and lost 100m last year, they cant keep paying tens of millions in exclusive deals to devs, plus with so few using the Epic Game Store it means that the sales are going to be terrible, thus once the cash handouts to Devs for exclusive deals ends they will come crawling back to steam

I see only way if you install Windows on steam deck. But still there us issue with drivers.

For us PC geeks, it's simple. As for the casual gamer, it all seems to hardcore. People just want to purchase and play without the need to mess about with drivers, OS or the like.

Anyway, who is the steam deck aimed for ? hardcore PC users or run of the mill causal gamers.
