NEVER HAD A SINGLE ISSUE with Denuvo
so really your loss ..it is a fun game
also if you are referring to the 5 times activation limit .. read the EULA
that's 5 times in a 24 hour period ..you will only need to activate the game once anyway
from then on its tied to your UBI and steam account anyway
and no i do not see performance problem with denuvo in the game .. runs great with my old i 5 7600 K and a GTX 1060 6 gig vid card
its been in many games i own .. never had an issue with it to be honest
as it has never stopped me from playing any game i wanted to play
If you guys are happy with your product, that's great for you. And while I think that every time someone accepts these needle pricks, it encourages companies to treat their customers worse, that's just my opinion and you are free to differ from it.
However you already voted with your wallet by buying the game, so imho, you aren't exactly adding anything new to the conversation. If you disagree with me, just let my post sink to the back of the forum unanswered, hm?
they will use denuvo or any thing they can to protect a ip or product from getting ripped off
and your on a steam forum ...>> and ubisoft has left steam ..as of the summer of 2019
no new ubi games have been released on steam since then
the only reason the older games are still here .. like far cry 5 , is valve still has a digital digital licence to sell the older titles on steam
far cry 6 will not be coming to steam as well as many other new ubi games have also skipped steam
i always buy my ubi games direct .. as i can use ubi points for a discount as well as yes many many online shops other then steam sell the games at a discount deeper then steam sells it for on the day it ships
and again denuvo has never been an issue for me with many other titles , or this one to be honest
so i do not understand you post or thread other then your trying to say you hate games that yes
try to protect the dev team that worked for years to make a game from being ripped off
i can tell you now no far cry game comes out off hand ..they take years to make and produce ..heck far cry 6 has been in the works since 2016
so yes they have a right to protect work that has been done by many UBI studios to bring a game to market .... and pay all those workers that still work on the next game why one ships ..and yes it takes years to make a decent game
you have to pay for a ton of things
but gamers like you do not wanna hear the real world facts , as you have never worked in game dev jobs you only wanna play your game ..
i get that
sorry you feel that one small bit of software will inhibit your ability to enjoy a game as it was developed ?
also remember please STEAM itself was is and was always intended to be a form of DRM
so if you use steam ... your in favour of added DRM
https://www.engadget.com/2020-02-12-drm-geforce-now-steam-xbox-playstation-subscription-streaming.html
i quote
Meanwhile, Valve was building out Steam. The storefront was initially designed to streamline the patch process for games like Counter-Strike, and also make it easier for Valve to implement anti-piracy and anti-cheat measures. Steam was built to be a DRM machine.
so if your so worried about added DRM you may as well delete your steam account
and purchase only OLD drm free games on GOG
1. Once the DRM has been cracked, it is useless. It literally serves no purpose anymore as it failed at its job, and keeping it on the game means nothing. FC5 is a few years old now, it has been cracked, and Denuvo does nothing anymore.
2. You sound like a pretentious ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ by saying "I have no issues with the game, so you shouldn't either." Do a simple google search. The amount of evidence pointing toward Denuvo having an effect on gameplay and performance is staggering. Just because you don't experience issues doesn't mean others won't. That's like saying "I ate today, people shouldn't be going hungry." Get off the high horse son. There are other DRMs that exist that don't have such a reputation of affecting performance that they could have used. Or, since the game has been cracked, they could do like other developers that recognize the impact of Denuvo have done and patch it out in a later update.
tl;dr
I respect DRMs. I don't respect Denuvo. Think before you say ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
Denuvo is fine. Stop being paranoid.
