Personally, I thought the main story itself was humourless, turgid bloater but others seem to like it and the open world is solid and fun. Most of the Side Missions are a bit on the slight side but pretty typical of the series.
It's not particularly buggy and certainly nothing game breaking that I've found, mostly just some hilarious physics (though I would make manual backups of your save). It's got New Game+ and extensive Mod support with the Resistance Mod.
tons of great maps to play so you never run out of things to shoot at
and your asking ..now several yrs after the game shipped is it any good ?
and it out sold all other far cry games ..in its initial release ?
For a tenner an absolute no brainer, gameplay is satisfying despite the story stuff being a bit hit and miss at times
