What's the point of Oregano and Liquor?

So uh, in the utility wheel, next to all the Homeopathics there are two weird things: Liquor and Oregano. Liquor is crafted from Liquor, Oregano is crafted from Oregano.

From the fact that I doubt people in the U.S. carry around their Oregano in a ziplock bag, and the weird comment on brownies, as well as the warping effect you get from consuming Oregano, I have reason to believe that it is something entirely different.

But what's the point of these two? I just consumed 12 bottles of liquor and all I got was a warped screen effect. Is this good for anything at all? Why is it there?

Yeah, but they were pictured entirely in a negative manner. In FC3 the only drugs Jason consumes are also un-named pills or mushrooms(spores?). In FC5 deputy can actively consume weed, so of course it cannot be named as weed due to the positive and encouraging connotations.

As I said earlier, in many countries it is illegal to show drugs in any kind of positive manner, but naming them as something else will get the publisher around those laws. This is the most propable reason, why the weed is named oregano.

Not that I care, but it doesn't really make sense. Maybe its bcs devs are from Canada and weed is not legal there (yet, might be legal this summer if senate approves it in time)

Yeah, it is weird. It goes to the same category as tobacco being legal but weed not(in most of the world). Tobacco and alcohol are both much more addictive in both physically and mentally and also both has much more serious and immediate negative consequences.

It is stupid, but it's also how the world currently works.

And it's not that the devs think people are stupid. It's because in many countries it's illegal to promote any kind of drug use. Changing name for something fictional (bliss) or some non-drug related(oregano) will help to circumvent the laws.

oooh watchout the spelling natzies are out... as someone who probably smokes it on an hourly basis you probably know the correct spelling.... sorry, I don't use the stuff so I wasn't sure....

Not too surprising, since you ignored the in-game warnings that you could be affected by certain aspects of game-play, and are here complaining about it.

I am sure ignoring a doctor's advice and trying the many current alternatives is a great way to improve your QoL.

Hmm I get kinda side effects? I still take Concetta is helps immensely. Can’t even stay focused at work without my meds.

I think hey don’t do jack because how the cultists distribute and actually use the flowers. The flowers are just a small but important ingredient in bliss. Oh and one more thing I need to find the link again but the bliss flowers are actually legit irl

Well ..have you compared you ingame deathcount vs your real deathcount lately?
Mine is a bit higher in the game for sure

(even as I'm not e frequent user of anything other then beer these days!)

So what is your suggestion? a big blur in fron of the ingame 'Jimson Weed', and warning signs about using them?
