Invincible maps in Arcade

I don't understand why people would spend so much time creating a map in Arcade and then ruin it by making the player invincible.
What is the fun in that?

It makes it easier of course. IMO invincibility should be the player's option. But a private built map is their creation, so their choice.

I understand that it takes a lot of work to make a good map, and I have all the respect in the world for the folks who do it, and appreciate them.
But why go to all that work just so the player can walk thru it/
What prompted me to finally write and complain is a recent map called "My First Creation".
It's beautiful. The whole thing is nicely done, but what could have been a great challenge was reduced to a walkthru with the invincibility feature enabled.
Anyway, that's my rant.

Perhaps they're for cheesing challenges? ISTR that stuff you do in Arcade does count towards them.

I've never played a usermap that has been a real challenge, the AI is far too GARBAGE for that, so I agree.

Challenges only work if the map is 'featured'. And badly made fan maps (which accounts for 99% of them) are not featured.
