Far cry 5 gold edition (epic games question)

i hate to ask this here, but obviously epic games doesnt have any place i can readily get a answer. anyone own the far cry 5 gold edition from epic games, if so can you tell me how you obtain the far cry 3 copy thats suppose to be included with the season pass. thanks

I did not get it on epic game, I got it on Uplay through Fanatical (the DLC that is, I got the game itself from ADM, when I got this computer). I'm thinking it just appears in your library once you've actually downloaded the DLC. If not, there may have been a prompt when click on the game for more details, there may have been an option to download premium content, or something like that.

You have to go through Uplay no matter where you picked up the game, so just get on your Uplay account and check it out.

contact epic support for that question .. i know there was an issue reported to ubi support on the issue on the far cry 5 forums over there

and yes your always better off with buying a uplay only copy direct thru Uplay for ubisoft games .. as you can use uplay points for a discount , and have less issues with DLC or added content

yea i got my gold copy the day it shipped for 35 % off from green man games .. it came as a Uplay only copy

and i bought New dawn the same way as well as picked up a uplay only copy for far cry 4 gold for really cheap when it was on sale on Uplay and used Uplay points to get another 20 % off

i do not use or need epic games launcher on my PC ..i'm happy with buying my Uplay games via Uplay

my steam ones via steam

and my ea ones on origin

and other older games via my gog account

if you buy a ubi game always get a uplay only copy as it'll be less drm too ..as you only need the uplay launcher to load and run your game

just make sure you always .. ALWAYS write down the e mail and password you use for creating any online account .. and you'll be fine ..and never use the same password across your other accounts

I've heard if you are going to get Farcry (the original) that you actually want to get it at GOG, because it's broken on steam. Not sure how that plays with Uplay. I just know I was told that the GOG version has stealth that works, where as all the other ones have a bug that causes stealth to not work at all.

i have the original far cry on DVD oh and a cd copy of that game its 4 cds , as well as Far cry 2 on DVD as well as Uplay only copies of both games

far cry 3 , 4 primal , far cry 5 and new dawn i have on Uplay

and yes i do own far cry 4 on steam with over 1200 hours logged into it playing it on steam with custom maps and just the SP game ..and far cry 3 on steam too , and blood dragon

as well as many other ubi games i bought direct from the uplay launcher , and yep used the play points or green man discount on every one . (other then my DVD copies that i got at computer shows back in the day ..when they shipped )

i also attended e 3 2017 and got to try far cry 5 , before anyone else got to see it ,as part of the Ubisoft Star Player program. ( was a nice free trip to LA for a week where i met many far cry map makers and the dev teams )
