Every fish i get is a rainbow trout?

Okay, So i frequently fish in faiths region, and every fish i get there is a rainbow trout, literally the only fish i get are rainbow trouts. I thought this was because i kept fishing in one area, i moved on to other lakes and rivers in the region and i still kept getting rainbow trouts. I decided to take it a step further and went over to john's region. And i still get rainbow trouts literally everywhere i go.

In my whole time playing this game i haven't caught any fish other than the rainbow trout.
Also to make sure i am not seeing things, i used every bait on 2 lakes (rock bass lake and deep north irigation reservoir).

I USED A BASS POPPER ON ROCK BASS LAKE FOR A SOLID 5 MINUTES AND LITERALLY ALL I GOT WERE RAINBOW TROUTS!
PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME FIX THIS, THE RAINBOW TROUT HAS PLAGUED MY LIFE AND I WANT IT GONE.

(p.s: I use the natural fishing rod)

change baits and fish at differnt locations ...as you roam....you will find fishing spots for other fish

to change bait select your rod and press Q i think or Y to change baits

Fishing spots? Like those places on the map with the pictures of the fish? I dont think i ever thought of those, let me check them out. Also i will use diffirent baits.
