thnx mate for replying...but how does one get a helicopter when my cash level is 650$...?
also, on another method not mentioned yet...was a suggestion online to hire that female Is it auduline or something )buddy that owns(or has the ability) to call choppers in to use....
and I go there...and shes LOCKED!
aaaarrrrgggghhhhh lol
can I buy that at the shop..with 650$..and if so, how many rounds does it come with...I hope three! lol,,isnt it 3 choppers I gotta takedown I think...
?
I been reading that its suggested..even in game...to start at falls end.....
I did not....
I hear the area I started in..has more and tougher thugs...
Could it be also: that i simply havent played enuf, to A gather enuf funds to buy a chopper, or B ..better guns or rocket launchers or C..the ability to hire that broad that has a chopper...
I may now, go and play new missions further south....that may help....possibly? and then return later and play this dumb mission.....lol
If you can’t afford anything, go hunting and sell skins or do other quests you can do.
If you want/need specific characters, do the quests to unlock them.
The game isn’t hard, not sure why so many find it challenging.
thnx but dont think thats true.....a clear look at the 3 sections on map, shows the north at 'level 2',,and the other two are' level 1'...also I read it on a dev site, that starting the game at FE is easier....
And I didnt say the game was hard,,,just not the best design Im finding as I feel far cry 3 was the best
but I will try to play on,,thnx gents for the posts!
chow!
Also, you can loot people and skin animals and sell the loot and skin to get all the money you need.
All the side missions and outposts you complete will unlock more weapons and vehicles. And keep an eye out for the diamonds on the map, you can get money from this too.
Hope this helps.
Also a side by side shotgun or a long ranged shotgun fitted with optics and incendiary rounds works as well.
The mission you're complaining about is the prerequisite to hiring the chopper pilot. She's the one that wants you to get her helicoper ('Tulip") back; until you do, she doesn't have one to fly for you.
Aside from rockets, Nick, and sniping... you could probably also use the mounted gun on various truck types, if you could get one to the chopper locations intact.
I did happen to find a helicopter gunship sitting at a rebel roadblock set up for a specific mission in Fall's End -- the roadblock was a (very unsuccessful) attempt to stop an armored truck that the cult had driving around. It's probably simpler to do Nick's missions in the Fall's End zone to get some air support, though, rather than look for such a helicopter and then fly it wherever you need it to be, though.
$650 ain't much, considering that even a deer skin is $180 or so. Are you burning through less-common ammo (M60, shotgun for instance) and grenades (vs. e.g. craftable explosives)? You might even find it worth temporarily bringing on a random fighter as gun-for-hire if you don't have a specialist -- you don't have to pay for their ammo, after all. Also, shovel throwing can often get you through smaller encounters at least, since for some reason you can basically hurl them like javelins. Peaches won't be flying through the air bringing down helicopters, but could still be useful dropping smaller animals and lone mooks without ammo expenditure, too, and the mission to unlock Peaches isn't terribly long or difficult.
Max ammo capacity is incresed by puchasing greater magazines upgarde at the shop (at the weapon customization screen) and by picking the relevant perks.
Using bows can save you money as the arows can be recovered most of the time, also if you kill an animal with arrows only you get 2 skins instead of 1.
Needless to say you ave tgo aim for the head or at least the upper torso to be effective.
Sidearms: Any pistol with silencer and simple sight should do, most enemies have handgun ammo on them, and as far as I know, all basic (non VIP/Heavy/Boss) enemies die from 1 headshot. Same goes for sidearm SMGs.
Shovel.
Hands down the best melee weapon. Can be thrown, kills basic enemies in 1 hit when thrown, can be recovered, cheap and effective. Throwing knife is similar but weaker, aim for the head.
Takedowns
Invest in the assasin tree perks to increse the effectiveness of sneaking and takedowns. Takedowns insta kils all kind of enemies. Takedowns can be performed by sneaking behind enemies undetected and then the oprtion Takedown appears. Later, chain takedwons can be also performed.
Also taking an outpost without being detected gives you an extra 1000$, while taking it without any alarms sound yield 400$. Alarm boxes can be shot off easily.
Against Aircrafts:
Sniping out the pilot is effective as expected, 50 CAL sniper rifles do it the best-
The basic RPG is also good if you can aim it well.
The easiest way is to pick up the RAT4 and giving it the lock on upgrade in the shop. It requires 4 levels of resistance in any region to be unlocked in the shop, however if you complete Hurk Drubmans Gun for Hire mission, you can simply "summon" and kill him (he will be unavailable for 20 min or unless you die) and take his RAT4, however you can't upgarde it unless its unlocked in the shop, but its rockets can be guided via aiming without the upgrade already.
An other, unorthodox method is to use grenades/dynamites/remote/proximity explosives with sticky upgrades (you need Black Market Perk and 1000 for each upgrade) by throwing at them. Remote explosives and dynamites are the most effective, just watch out not to blow yourself up.
Edit: Companions/Gun/Fang for Hires:
Boomer and Cheeseburger are probabbly the best to start and stick around with, Leadership perk is therefore a very powerful perk, as compainions can revive you and soak some bullets for you.
Boomer the dog is not so great a combat but automatically tags all nearby units (friend or foe) and fecthes ammo for you. This is also helps a lot in hunting.
Cheeseburger, being a bear, can take quite a punishment, also draws aggro and is pretty decent at dealing with most enemies
Peaches is more preferable for stealth approach, but she can also easily deal with most enemies.
Their weakness is that they cannot effectively deal with a lot of ranged enemies at a time and are basicly useless against vehicles, but you have other compainions and yourself for that.Remember they never die permanently but without perked they take a good 20 min (or you dying too) to become available again.
Also remember that you can order them around where to go/what to kill.(G/H by default)
Binoculars
Z/Y, depending on your keyboard settings by default. It tags enemies/alarms/allies from a distance, giving you information about their type and making them permanently visible even trough walls. You can also set waypoints and order comapions to go somewhere, helpful in coop too.
edit: My order of completion was Faith, Jacob, John. Faith throws lots of animals at you and therefore a good cash earner in her territory.
