FC5 or New Dawn?

I'm new to Far Cry series. People give New dawn bad reviews because it is a clone of FC5. For me that's not a problem because I've never play FC5. Moreover, some said that new dawn story is short, racist, and rushed, but I like the color of New Dawn world more and I don't think RPG element is a big deal. Which story is better and what would you recommend?

a side note:
FCND didn't really review bad or even worse than FC5 did (on steam): 84% and 86% current and 76% and 72% overall ratings. Both seem to be very good *FC* games (games where the story doesn't really matter). FCND is a smaller title.

FC5 but i am planning to get far cry 4 and ND

Well I played both, but I would start with FC5 because you have more content and then I would play FCND. Beware that FC5 DLCs are ♥♥♥♥ and not worth the money, only if you get them at a ridiculous price to do the challenge for Ubi Points.

I definitely recommend you far cry 3

They're both really good games. I would suggest Far Cry 5 first. If you like that one you'll want to play New Dawn as it is sort of an 'epilogue' to Far Cry 5.

I'll buy FC5 first, then ND. But on PS4 because I found a physical disc copy for half the price on steam.
