On a side note if the game is so crap why by the season pass?
Well here is your problem
You Cannot buy game on Steam and season pass on Uplay !!
The mix is not compatible due to Steam DRM file management system.
Now all what you can do, is contact Ubisoft support, and hope for refund.
if you want to buy both your games and DLC cheaper .. then for ubi games but both the base game and DLC at the same place
steam changes the save file folder location on most Ubi games to lock you into only buying DLC on steam for Uplay games
for FC 5 steam uses
C:\ Program files X86 \ Ubisoft \ Ubisoft game launcher \savegames \ *a folder with a long series
of letters and numbers Varies from system to system* \ 4311
the Uplay only version they go in
C:\ Program files X86 \ Ubisoft \ Ubisoft game launcher \savegames \ *a folder with a long series
of letters and numbers Varies from system to system* \ 1803
for FarCry 4 they also were different
with the Steam version your save files go to
C:\ Program files X86 \ Ubisoft \ Ubisoft game launcher \savegames \ * a folder with a long series of letters and numbers ,varies from system to system *\ 856
with the Uplay only version they go to
C:\ Program files X86 \ Ubisoft \ Ubisoft game launcher \savegames \ * a folder with a long series of letters and numbers ,varies from system to system *\ 420
same was true with far cry Primal
save location
http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/1399999-thank-u-so-much-ubi?p=11435457&viewfull=1#post11435457
steam 2029
Uplay 2010
same was true with Far cry 3 also
+ the install folder locations are also totaly different
so you need to buy your DLC on the same platform you bought your base game on
ie .. uplay only or Steam + uplay for it to work
thats why it wont work the way you bought your DLC ..not a ubi issue really its a steam issue
as Steam is the only outlet on PC that changes those file locations
again its due to steam will only install program files and updates FOR THINGS BOUGHT ON STEAM ..you buy your base game on Steam .. you need a steam version of the DLC for updates ..same is true with my DVD copy on COD modern warfare .. it does not use Steam when i install from the DVD's
steam only supports things bought ON steam
In past was possible to mix the Base game from Steam with Season Pass from Uplay. But that has changed when Watch Dogs 2 was been released.
The moment Ubisoft introduced MT in to the game, it is not possible to mix the Steam Game with Uplay Season pass.
Since then many people been making the same mistake, Just browse trough Assassins Creed Origins forum or Ghost Recon Wildlands, and there will be more who will be making the same mistake in new Ubisoft games.
Yeah right and you need uplay to play the game you buy from steam lol but the stuff you buy from uplay does not work with it.... thats stupid. Think abouth the time we did buy the games from local stores, if it would be as fup as it is now. if you buy a game from storeA you cant buy the dlc from another store (store B). :D where is the true stupidy on this???
