I uninstalled and reinstalled and game still will not launch. Box pops up-unknown file version (E:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\FarCry5\bin\fc_m64.dll)
I played game last night no problems it played fine. This morning something updated on steam and game hasn't launched today at all
Can someone help please

Greetings Slick. There was a big Title Update that was released today. Verify your game files update your drivers (maybe) and restart your client.
I updated my drivers and verivied my files and had to reagguire i file. I restarted my client and then tied to launch game again. that box popped about unknown file version and then went through this again several times and had to reagguire file each time with same results

I have to KEEP UPDATING the game! Every time I launch it since Steam auto-updated FC5 to V 1.8 today, I have to validate my game files, it finds "1 file missing and will be re-acquired", updates that one file...then the game launches.
But if I quit out (because we have LIVES, you know!), same thing again: game won't launch until I verify files, acquire one file lost,launch etc etcx.
NONE of this was happening for me until the latest V1.8 update!

this is bogus because this is the correct file.

Yep, same problem. Worked fine last night and now suddenly won;t. Gives me an error that it can't validate the updated patch file and closes down. Thanks Ubi for breaking the game.

Corrupt Content files: G:\Steam\steamapps\.....\patch_english.dat

Yes, restarted, verified files, updated drivers, uninstalled FC5, reinstalled, same problem.
