Why do i need easy anti-cheat for offline campagne?

I cannot start the game because it says "easy anti cheat failed to initiate errore code xxxx...."

I played all parts on playstation except the 1st one and this one and now it reminds me again why consoles are always better that windows PCs.

Add -eac_launcher to "game launch arguments" under Far Cry 5 in UPlay. This should allow you to launch Far Cry 5 with EAC disabled(no multiplayer access btw).

This websites FAQ say this can happen only by an older windows version or a old virus software.

My windows 10 is up to date 28.march 13:30 and so is my virus software. :(

I had the exact same problem with the game HUNT:Showdown. These games dont let me play more than 2 hours exactly. I refund it but i dont want to refund FC5 also i really need to play it

I saw it thanks but with all good meaning this game costs 59€ and its from top developer and its not even an early access game. When i pay for all functions it should work ..

High end gaming PC, newest windows version, premium virus software....and cant play a single player game.

And Bil Gates can buy himself 1 Lamborghini/minute

Once you add that in game launch arguments, how do you know EAC is truly disabled? I was unable to access UPlay Store in game, gave a "snowshoe" error, was that it?

Eac is permanently embedded in this game, even if you use -eac_launcher or turn off internet, EAC is still running, and you cannot turn it off.

Actually I'v seen some trainer makers get around EAC to inject money.. so if that's possible it's not impossible, but it sounds like EAC is damaged on OP's system.

Simple fix would be to head to
Drive : \\ Steam\steamapps\common\FarCry5\bin\EasyAntiCheat
Launch file EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe
Should fix whatever the issue is, and start the game afterwards.
