Dear god the lighting is far too bright

is this just me, but i just started on the island and its absolutely stupid bright

looking anywhere near the general direction of the sun is insane

I felt kind of the same when I first got outside during the day, the game also seems like it's trying to emulate your eyes adjusting to darkness/light in a way that just feels strange in a video game, I quickly entered the graphic settings in hope to find something to disable this, and was left disappointed.

yes, especially when the game auto turns on my flashlight in a room thats already bright and i cant see anything thats its illuminating since its just a blinding white circle

oh man thats annoying, at first it made sense because you were going from a dark basement to the bright outrdoors, but it literally happens EVERY time you transition from indoors to outdoors even if you just run in and out of a doorway, thats just not realistic and is pretty annoying

Turn HDR off then set brightness and contrast to 0 then turn HDR on and paperwhite to 100 or 120, the normal contrast seems to double up with HDR on. Playing on PC
