Change Clothes = game crash
Finally made it past opening car chase sequence, game has stabilized; but then crashes at first mission in Dutch's Bunker. I go to change clothes and game crashes... again, and again, and again....Any solutions or advice appreciated.

48 hours later, still no solutions from UPlay. I have uploaded newest drivers for graphics, audio, etc... nothing. Stuck in Dutch's Bunker with "change clothes" mission. Game will not allow you to continue or exit bunker without changing clothes; but game crahses everytme I click on locker. Over 70 crash reports submitted... ZERO answer from UPlay or support. =(

What are your specifications

I've been in the exact same position since launch, other than this bug the game has run completely smoothly for me.

The problem appears on older AMD cards (The HD series), there are some people who got it working by degrading their video card driver back to 15.8, but it didn't work for me, so i'm waiting on a fix, but the support isn't even trying, all they get back with is that check that our processors have SSE4.1, and to make sure that we meet the minimum, but it still works fine, so they're just trying to speak themselves out instead of fixing it. So either refund it, or like me wait it out, since i've been so hyped that this doesn't really hold me back.

My friend has the same problem... today was a update, does it work now?

Still crashes. If I continue in game, it crashes at "change clothes". If I try to access the UPlay Store, it loads the main screen (weapons, clothes, vehicles), but then crashes if I choose any of those options. UbiSoft hasn't responded to any of my support tickets and Steam says they can't refund because I logged more than two hours in the game... yep eight hours... of trying to get the damn thing to work!!

@ TWolf33 Thank you for your feedback.
I´m really sorry. My friend has exactly the same problem.
The game is running, but in the menu it crashes.
We wanted to play coop.

It is sad, that Ubisoft does not help with a small patch/hotfix.

Oi I had the same problem

While I don't have an active solution for you, I do have a potential fix until they get it done.

If you've got a mate you trust, all they need to do is log into your account and put on an outfit for you. That's it. After that it's smooth sailing. This does mean giving someone your password (which you can change) and also the pass to your uplay DRM f***about account as well. So chose this person cautiously and if you don't have anyone you can trust with that, just wait for the patch.

Hope that helps.
SOLVED !!!

STEP 1 : START GAME .
STEP 2 : GO OPTIONS > VIDEO SETTINGS > CHANGE GRAPHICS FROM DEFAULT CARD TO INTEL GRAPHICS .
STEP 3: RESTART GAME .
STEP 4: CONTINUE GAME > DO THE CHARACTER CUSTOMIZATION > PLAY TILL YOU EXIT BUNKER > EXIT GAME.
STEP 5: REENTER GAME > VIDEO SETTINGS > REVERT TO THE GRAPHICS CARD YOU USE > RESTART GAME .

ENJOY !!!

Glaston, I'm playing on PC and there doesn't seem to be an option of changing the video setting. It defaults to my AMD 5700 Radeon, but does not let me change that to "intel" as suggested. I'm pretty much assuming the game is unplayable with my current machine. Just disappointed that UbiSoft has refused to address the issue.

I SOLVED THIS SAME PROBLEM:
Had the same problem, now fixed. I have a ASUS G73 with radeon 5800. Went to AMD and downloaded the auto detect and update driver application. IMPORTANT! First time I did not uninstall current driver when offered. Just downloaded and installed the new driver. That changed nothing. So uninstall current, then install new (I chose crimson I think? was optional choice) Installed and now I play the game no problems. Also note: It offered express or custom. Express did not load, so I did custom and all went well. Good luck alll, and I hope this solves your problems!
