Ok this triggered me so I have to respond. I'm a SSG in the US Army and was part of 277th ASB, 10th Mt Div stationed out of Ft. Drum, NY. I served 10 years and did tours overseas during OEF. I'm pretty confident I qualify as experienced, so let me put it straight. (Oh and if you served then you need to find a Sergeant and tell em to assist you in pulling your head from your fourth point of contact because you need retraining)
First, the moderator is dead wrong. Whoever they are, they didn't do their homework or are trying to defend the game from something that could blow up in their face unexpectedly. According to AR 670-1 (That's Army Regulation for those who don't know) which covers military wear, the flags are supposed to appear with flags facing forward so as to always appear like the soldier is moving forward. Imagine holding a flag and running towards battle. The stars would lead, and the stripes would trail.
However, in this game neither flag is correct on the arms. In fact, its pretty blatently disrespectful and downright offensive because the designers had to do this on purpose. The flag appears to be retreating.
I know some of you would say "But Sarge, the flag has the stars to the left!" and you are correct. But lets take a look at the in game placement once more. One shoulder shows the placement in that respect (and signaling retreat) and the other could have been mirrored, but honestly its pretty apparenty they were both placed that way intentionally.
This is extremely disrespectful and I for one will not purchase this or any other Ubisoft game again unless this is corrected, because it's blatent disrespect to the US military. It makes me down right sick.

I'm honestly not that attached to it. I don't even condemn flag burning.
In this instance I'm more laughing at the fact it's most likely a developer oversight and people are losing their mind over it.
yeah the whole game is pure comedy but people taking it seriously is even more funny.
Its a video game. Are you out protesting or writing your congressman of the pure outrage you feel when a show like Family Guy, the Simpsons, or similar shows make mistakes or just take it for what it is, a simple mistake made by someone who never served?
There are more important things to be stressed about instead of a simple graphical mistake in a video game.
