Game will not launch

My game won't launch. it keeps saying that it is unable to start the game and asks me to verify the file location (which i've done......multiple times). i've fully installed it twice now and I can't figure out a solution.

I have the same problem. After repairing and uninstalling the game. I dug a little deeper. It looks like one of the issues was the vcdist2015. If you have vcdist2017 it will not install. So I uninstalled the newer vdist and manually installed it. Same error as you are getting. I also uninstalled the game and re-downloaded it same issue. Another area it trips on is .net 4.6.1 but with windows 10 .net 4.x is installed in the OS. I'm pretty much going to open a case with Ubisoft to see what the issue. I installed all of the software in the Far Cry 5 \ support \ software folder as well. (The d3d folder programs said I don't need the update)

So there might be a missing piece or something. Or it might be the version of windows 10 I have which is the current aniversity update.

I ended up doing what Ubisoft suggested which was to uninstall uplay and download the current version. After that Far Cry 5 updated and I had no issues.

Try launching the game from .ex file in compatibility mode.

Hey Guy I just can play for Now.Last Niight i have same problem like you
i try many way uninstall and re install both far cry 5 and third party include uplay
and still cannot play because i just uninsatll vcdist2015 and cannot install again so
i restore my pc system from earlyer and try open game again
it's work !!!
The problem i think game not activate to uplay
because this time when ckick to play redirect to open uplay like other game like i own
far cry 4 and acc unity
