Graphics seem washed out?
Or is it just me? Everything runs fine on ultra, but the graphics don't seem as vibrant and bright.

Not quite just you - but if I hadn't seen a few others posters mention this, I would have said just you... To me - on ultra with a GTX 1080 - everything looks magnificient...

Same thing with AC Origins, better to make more people happy than just top 10%

Although I'd love for it to be as clear and crisp as Sea of Thieves, but thats just a whole other story. You get used to the blurriness as you play and it seems well done. But all in all it isnt as crisp as an older game with scaling rocketed.

They seem fine to me.
as a side note HDR is great on the game (if you have a HDR screen)

Does it look different than videos of game play on the internetz?

Check the nvidia settings? if not using HDR it should be 8bit, RGB, full. (the darn nvidia app likes to put it to limited.. which gimps blacks.. which makes everything dull...)

Was just about to suggest this. Nvidia loves to rest the RGB settings from full to limited which will make a computer monitor look washed out.

I still cant grasp the HDR yet, maybe when its in 4k 144hz. Right now 1440p 165hz non HDR wins.

Alter the Gamma / Contrast, there's also HDR as well as stated . Also alter your screen in the Geforce Control Panel thingy .

The graphics are still good. It just looks and doesn't feel quite right. I'll probably get use to it in time.

Yea, still a much enjoyable game with the graphics as is.

It's generally advised to make the best corrections you can on your monitor, before touching any system wide corrections on your GPU. Colour settings are tricky by eye without a referance, but plenty of bri/con/gam reference images are available online to configure, and plenty of resources to know what you're configuring.

I like how it looks even on High+Ultra settings...
And runs really smooth. 55-80 FPS. Unlike Origins, which dropped a lot of FPS in certain areas at launch.

Loaded it up again. It just feels like the colours, i.e. trees seem faded and not as green, aren't as full.
