First impression: These graphics ♥♥♥♥.

Even on ultra, the game looks outdated by several years.

The Dunia engine has not aged well AT ALL.

EDIT:
I want to clarify some things:
- I am playing on ULTRA settings at 1080p
- My specs are i7-4770, 16 GB RAM, GTX 1070 (overclocked)
- My main gripes with the graphics are lackluster textures, poor anti-aliasing, crappy water, NO ambient occlusion, and mediocre animations/character models

character models are decent and animations great. but foliage and walls, structures etc textures up close is not as sharp as you'd expect from next gen games. ac origins is way better for example and that folder is twice as big at 55gb

What the hell? The game looks beautiful. It doesn't need to be some photorealistic ♥♥♥♥♥♥' Battlefield type game. It looks good enough, we don't need to keep setting the standard higher and higher. Just play the damn game.

Don't think we can blame the engine, its Ubisoft who believes that all versions should be equivalent. As you can see on this video, PC version is almost on par with Xbox:

Far Cry 4 was even worse compared to consoles. Almost all of their games this gen hardly had any real upgrades for PC.

Lighting is really good, but alot of textures looks low res and muddy yeah. Not dissapointed, hopefully a ultra texture pack comes out soon.

GTX 980 - Ultra - 1080p - Benchmark min. 62 - max. 83 Fps, the Game looks good though but a good eye can see that its more about performance then graphics but it still manages to look really good.

Amazing? Gotta disagree with you there. Barely looks better than Far Cry 3 and 4 to me.
