who cares how big it is , Watchdgos 2 was amazing and HUGE and was only 26 gb yet some games are crap and 50 GB

Yes, size can be deceiving, but it can also show the lack of content or polishness of a game. (It can also mean that a game was incredibly polished and the size could be due to great compression). In any way, it's something that worries us for it being open world.

and if i recall correctly from my last FC 4 install on my new system .. it was a 26 gig DL for FC 4 gold on steam ....total install size is about 37.1 gig

and yea FC 5 will of course come with a day 1 patch ..as all games do ..and adding DLC will increase the total space needed ..

As @Grubbs008 says, they are compressed files OR another reason could be a good amount is not included in the pre-load and will download upon it being fully released which kind of makes the pre-load pointless so its more than likely compressed files.

Skyrim only 10 GB and so big map...anyway Compressed files. if unpack ~ 30-40 GB

lol..A preload is compressed. That is not the final size of the game. I would not be suprised to see that unpack to 40GB.

Yeah larger size can also mean poorly setup audio/video/textures as well where they are either stored multiple times or tons of HD video that does not add to the game play at all.

My FF15 folder is 148GB. While the world is pretty large, I think most of the size is the HD audio/video/cutscenes.

FF15 day 1 for me was over 70gb, took like an hour to unpack. I am not complaining about the size of this game one bit. I already played the FC5 arcade (got invited) and had a blast. Can't speak about it but that alone is enough to entertain me for sometime, let alone the open world campaign.
