If I Find Far Cry 4 Boring Should I Buy Far Cry 5?

So after seeing all the Far Cry 5 stuff I was really excited to play. I had bought Far Cry 4 but never played it so figured I better beat it before FC5 came out and well I am about 6 hrs in and pretty bored with it already. The last mission I did I ran in circles and killed some terrorist trying to destroy the statues.

Anyways, I am not sure I enjoy it much just seems boring to me, I do not feel like even progressing my character and the UI menu is really bad feels like a console port. I know you guys are all fans of FC so thought I would ask if I am already board should I buy FC5?

After looking at multiple FC5 videos I am really not seeing much difference between the two games. What am I missing is this just more of the same with out towers and has fishing but in another region. Anyhow, I am having second thoughts on buying the game now, maybe someone here can give me my hype back to buy and play FC5.

By the way I really liked FC1 and FC2 and beat both games FC3 I did not beat and for any reasons stopped playing before I beat it not sure the reason for that. I skipped Primal due to all the bad reviews anyways some feedback would be nice as I am trying to figure out if it would just be a waste of money.

I remember when FC used to push the envelope in the graphics deparment but i am not really seeing anything amazing here for FC5. I was really enjoying FC4 at first then i unlocked all the towers and was forced to do missions before opening more of the map at that point it just went down hill for me anyways the question still remains should i just stick with FC4 and beat that or skip it and get FC5?

Recent games I have been playing and enjoy are BF4 on and off also BF1, Warhammer Vermintide 2, GTA V from time to time and kingdom come deliverance which is getting stale for me as well.

Cut your losses with Far Cry 4 and stop playing if you find it boring, life's too short, do something else instead. As for 5, I'd wait for reviews but if you found 4 boring then I wouldn't bet on you enjoying it.

Far Cry 5 has more freedom than Far Cry 4 as far as I can tell, but Far Cry 5 doesnt seem to be very story based

I don't think there's enough differences for you to enjoy FC 5 compared to 4.
It follows the same path.

Best way to beat Farcry 4 and be done with it is just sit at the table for 15 mins and wait for Pagan to come back, though FC 3 is way better!

I like farcry3. use some mod to remove some HUD like detection/hit indicator, minimap, and there is a mod which give you an option to liberated the outpost or not after you take it down. its make the game just like farcry2.

i dont play farcry4, since its almost no improvement from farcry3.

farcry primal is great. i like the animal companion mechanic. they have some unique kill animation vs different enemy/other animal. too bad almost no explosion in the game tho.

and from many video that i just watch, there is not many improvement in farcry 5. its like all combination from the previous series.

i think 5 could be really nice, just stay off primal it sucks. 4 was most of the time nice in my opinion, although some parts where kinda dull

Yes. Absolutely. I STRONGLY recommend playing games in franchises that you find boring. Isn't that kinda common sense? You play the games you find the most boring?

To be honest, I loved Far Cry 3, and Blood Dragon.
4, for me was not only boring, but also I didn't like the envirmoent or the story.
Though, I did love many of the mechanical improvments they added.
The "Karma" quests which were not in 3.
Grappling hook.
Better animations, and graphics.
Different kinds of guns, and sound effects that were massively improved.
Well, aethetically, Far Cry 4 was better than 3.
However, fromt he looks of 5, they seem to added more detail to the world.
And many more changes.
I saw a Co-Op video where one guy was flying a helicopter, and another guy used his grappling hook to hang off it while they flew around shooting stuff up. I thought that was a great addition.
And, if you watch the videos that are like 1 hour long, or 30 minutes long, you'll see many new things in 5 that aren't in 3 or 4.

I have not plyed Primal but all the other Far Cry titles. I started FC4 back in 2015, but got back into it this year and finished it. I had all the DLC which ahelp make the game more interesting. I liked using the gyrocopter in FC4. Maybe, if you try it again you might like it. But, if you still find it boring, then like the others have stated try another game.

Bought FC5 Gold as I did with the other FC's. But will have to wait and see if it surpasses the other FC's or is just fresh makeup on an old face.

Yeah, I'll go with that. It was fun trying to pull off a controlled crash landing into one of the higher levels of the tower while the altitude alarm was going off, good times.

I agree with this statement...not sure why 4 gets such a bad rap.
