Possible to avoid capture?
I'm in Jacob's region, and at certain points he'll call me and say he's sending his hunters to me. I know I get shot and dragged to wherever, but is it possible to avoid this, while still going outside and completing missions?

a similar thing happens in Johns region, he calls you on the radio and you become "marked" the enemies he sends have "bliss" bullets. it only takes one hit to KO you. I believe these kind of events are scripted and as much as you try to avoid them. You will be caught. At least I was always caught.

Pretty sure you can hold off or evade the capture squads in John's region, but it's just delaying the inevitable for no good reason. From experience they don't stop coming until they've got you, and it takes one hit. Faith, not sure. Think you just get arrowed from nowhere in Jacob's region, at least I never saw or heard anyone rustling around when it happened.

Wow. That sounds like the dumbest mechanic ever.

Getting captured isn't a terrible thing. It just progresses the story line with a short mission or cut scene of you escaping or w.e. The capture events trigger based on how much RP you have accumulated in that region.

I've actually evaded Jacobs capture party once or twice, but in the later regions it is impossible to do. Just don't get hit by a bullet from the capture party, ez pz if you're good enough.

johns and jacobs capture you avoid for a bit since an enemy HAS to hit with a bliss shot. faiths on the other hand is 100% unavoidable as bliss starts to could you and after a moment will pull you in. the only way to delay it is being in any vehicle will stop her from taking you but once you exit the vehicle it will automatically take you.

Jacob will insta hit you with an arrow so it's actually impossible to avoid. John you just kill the capture party and fly away lol, until a new one spawns.

And you'll just end up trying to stop every hunt party coming at you, instead of actually playing the game. Better just let the mandatory sequence be done as soon as possible.

you can spot 2 of his archers before they shoot you. also if youre in a heli you can see them better. though i will say jacobs is the hardest to avoid between him and john.

Well it's far cry, don't tell me how to play the game lol. I already beat it I'm just letting you know it's possible to avoid john if you're not a sh*tter.

tbh i agree with this 100% as the capturing parties should be there but if you kill them it should prolong till another comes. the story is gret but it shouldnt be forced down your throat.

This is what happens when you mix a somewhat sandbox-ish open-world with a campaign story. If you 'prolong' everything till the final boss confrontation and you'll have another bunch of people b*tching about no character building of the antagonists etc., not that it's handled well exactly at the moment either.

Even Bethesda is having trouble pleasing every fan of theirs with Fallout/TES.

No joke... I was inside a house, crouched in a corner with no sight lines to the outside... still got "sniped" with a single tranq, while both of my squad mates were outside at both entrances. So no, aside from FT the hell out of there, you cant avoid it. Simply scripted, and it is pretty annoying, given that its forced(especially at inconvenient times). Would have been cool if it was an actual "evade/capture" thing though, where evading them would result in a different narrative of the same story.

I got one better for you. I was flying WAAAAAAAAAAY above the ground in the region when I was marked. I flew around for a bit without getting closer to the ground or landing and still ended up getting randomly captured for no reason. So unless my allies shot me in the back and turned me in, which would be funny since they pretend like nothing happens after the mission, I don't know how he could have captured me with his hunting parties.

From personal experience, you don't even need to be hit to be captured. I successfully evaded capture for a solid fifteen minutes and it just triggered the cutscene. Absolute BS.

No. Can't avoid them. I was arrowed out of a plane traveleing at the height limit, at max speed. Out of a helicopter maneuvering hard in a dog fight. Its scripted. The only two ways I've avoided the incap, at least for a few seconds, is to instantly fast travel to the whitetail bunker, in which case they'll just drop you the second you step one foot outside, or fast travel to another region, in which case, they'll drop you the second you cross back across the border.
