FAR CRY 5 save info in case you wanna back up a lvl or mission

each save consists of 4 small files
1.save
1.save.upload
2.save
2.save.upload

with the steam version of the game, saves your game to

(again it says Drive C below ....as thats the drive i always install Uplay to .. your drive letter may vary depending on what drive you used to install Uplay to )

C:\ Program files X86 \ Ubisoft \ Ubisoft game launcher \savegames \ *a folder with a long series
of letters and numbers Varies from system to system* \ 4311


the Uplay only version they go in

shut off the Uplay Cloud save option in the Uplay client settings .. but you should do this anyway, as it can create problems with a corrupted cloud save (it happened to me with FarCry 3 years ago and i had to delete my saved games and start the game all over , was the only way to fix it )

open Uplay FIRST

go to settings and uncheck the option that says
Enable Cloud Save Sycronization for supported games

then copy and paste your save file to say a thumb drive folder named for the mission or a seperate location on your PC ..say like ubi back up Far cry 5 jons dead or what ever

yes you can have multiple save files

its really not that hard to do

if you ever need to move your Uplay saves to another PC

remember shut off the Uplay cloud save setting ..if you want more then 1 save ..or plan on building a new PC .. and a simple lil usb thumb drive can hold many many backed up saves provided you catalouge them properly ..if ya do not have one buy one .. or use a save file manager

oh an thanls to Bgray for the info on where the stteam saves files to .... so they can lock you into only buying DLC on steam ..and everyone says Uplay Sux ? no valve does

np man ill bet this quetion gets asked alot and Amkuna's save file backup system for FC4 works still to this day .. he made a good guide

Sorry to inform you, but sharing FC5 save files between accounts is apparently blocked...
I copied your save files into my 4311 folder, and at the launch of the game during the connection to the account error "Granite: 2000000" occurred, then after clicking "Accept" (twice) the main menu loaded with the only option to start the new game... I looked into my 4311 folder and saw that the game erased 2.save file and created two new files - 1.save.delete and 2.save.delete. FYI my cloud save synchronization in Uplay is disabled.

The only reason I can think of to block sharing save files are the micro-transactions… Who the hell needs them anyway??? You can get a lot of money very quickly by hunting and looting prepper stashes…

Steam cloud has nothing to do with it, since Ubisoft games are not supported by this service at all.

Oh I didn't fknow that. I just assumed Steam Cloud applied to every game sold on Steam. I've had it turned off forever anyway.

thanks again guys for your input on this issue ..will do what i can to try to always help the community .. i giotta e mail tech support on this issue as many users have said they have problems with the Uplay cloud ...not only on steam ....but on other forums as well
