That is what I expected from a GTX1070, well but it seems not what Dungeon Rogue wanted to read.
With framerate locking you should get more stable results. Thats why I enable framerate locking, it looks for me more nonedropping frames on the lower end.

I have a 144Hz monitor, i always play game with v-sync off or no cap on frame limit.
