Far Cry 5 Optimization Guide for Nvidia Users*
Some Tips To Hopefully Help Optimize The Driver For The Game Through Nvidia Profile inspector or Nvidia Control Panel.

in Steps As Follows:

1.Open Nvidia Profile Inspector or Nvidia Control Panel.
2.Go To Far Cry 5 Driver Profile and Enable/ Disable the following as i instruct.

*Set Max. prerendered frames: 1
*~If you just Limit Your FPS use Frame Rate Limiter to use it click drop down arrow and
choose your fps.
*~If you Use VSYNC: Turn Triple Buffering to ON and Switch Vertical Sync to FORCE ON.
*Anisotrophic Filtering Mode: USER DEFINED/ OFF
*Anisotrophic Filtering Setting: 16x
*Power Management Mode: PREFER MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE

~If Using 1 Monitor/ Screen set
*Multi Display/ Mixed Gpu Acceleration to: SINGLE DISPLAY PERFORMANCE MODE
~Instead of TAA try a less intensive AA Option which is combining FXAA and SMAA
(To Do So): in same driver Profile Find,
*Toggle FXAA Turn On Or Off to: ON and Then Simply Enable SMAA In Graphic Options once
In Game

Once All Done, be sure that none of the optional driver box options are highlighted and simply click APPLY at top right of screen(or apply button in Nvidia Control Panel) And Bam!. Mission Complete, Should Help Immensly Stabalize The FPS/ Completely Remove In Game Stuttering! Your Welcome.

That is the ongoing dispute but for me it seems to also work fine in Directx games as well from my tests lol.

You should make this into a guide!

Texture filtering in this game suks no matter what. The road is blurry 10 feet away from the player, even with forced 16x AF in the driver panel.

I wish we could do something about it, the pop in, shadow pop in and blurryness of some textures in the distance really is the biggest fail of this engine right now.

There used to be a time, when PC games were magical and not dumbed down for consoles, you could tweak every little setting in the ini files, and games had a console by default.

Everything default and the game maxed out 1080p with 1 GTX 1070 8GB and 110+ FPS. Only when i increase in game resolution scaling does it drop, sweet spot is 1.2 and still 75-90+ FPS.

No stutter, no hic-ups, nothing, everything is clear and no issues. Once a while there is a texture flicker during close up scenes, but it runs great and looks great, no idea what you guys are doing.

Lies, no way you are getting those frames in the busy towns with firefights.

Why should i lie? I have nothing to prove to you or anyone else, including myself for doing so.

If you do not believe me, that is on you not me, i am reporting my actual experience.

for me it was a ram setting in the bios that finally got my gpu usage up to good levels with my 1080ti,made a thread about it and everything but im starting to grow weary of the responses.

as far as i can tell game really likes fast ram.
