The error he is getting says this..." there was a problem getting your latest save from the cloud. The most recent available data may not be your current save"
And then there is no option to continue - only start a new game.
15 to 20 hours lost.
It's happened twice so he is not willing to start game again. The best option I have seen so far is to disable the cloud saves in the uplay interface and just only use local saves.
and if you wanna save your game DO it manually to a SEPREATE location or hey even a thumb drive works

the uplay version OF fc 5 BTW uses folder number 1803 not sure what steam uses as thats always A DIFFRENT FOLDER NUMBER
SORRY .but cloud saves are always unreilable
if any steam user would look and try to help with what steam uses ..i'd appreciate it
i do know the uplay only version uses folder 1803 here
C:\ Program files X86 \ Ubisoft \ Ubisoft game launcher \savegames \ *a folder with a long series
of letters and numbers Varies from system to system* \ 1803
if you installed Uplay on your C drive
