In what order should I do the regions?
I've already completed John's Region, and I'm debating wether I should liberate Faith's Region or Jacob's Region next. I know it doesn't really matter what order I do them in, but from a "realistic", story oriented point of view, which region makes the most sense to tackle next?

Doesn't matter for the story. You can do them in either order and the story will stay the same and be coherent.

Yeah. I went South first, and then when I did the North area afterwards the events there were influenced by the fact that I'd cleared down South. I'd assume no matter what way you do it they have different cutscenes in certain parts to make the story work.

Yup when the main guy mourns for his siblings the cutscene will change depending on which one you did but the story is the same.

I already know that, thats not what I meant. I meant from a "realstic" point of view, which one is the main character more likely to liberate next? Or better, which one would be a better build up to the third region?

I dunno myself but I can tell you I absolutely hated the south region with Faith. I have always hated games that force you into those psychedelic cutscenes.

Personally, I went North next. I figured that the brother would most likely want to get revenge on me for killing his other brother, especially since he was in the military. I also think that had a very slight impact on going to Faith's region last.

Do Faith first. Jacob is a lot harder. You want max health for him.

Personally I felt it should go John>Faith>Jacob. It felt right that the eldest sibling and army vet, as well as the cult recruiter and basically armsman sitting on the largest weapons stockpile should be the last to hold out and toughest to remove.

thats backwards from most peoples playthroughs. Jacobs ghost soldier things are WAY easier than the Angels in faiths region.

also the other majority of companions is in Jacobs territory which would lead one to assume the side stories that accompany the main plot would be beter played out there. maybe thats an incorrect assumption though

Faiths area is probably harder than Jacobs, I went to Jacob then faith because I wanted to save her section till last.

I will mention that I feel like it's a more satisfying progression doing faiths then Jacobs based on the end cut scenes. His area has the militia so if you do him third you feel like the resistance is built and strong and you're ready for the final battle. Plus Faith isn't blood related so she almost feels like the black sheep of the 3 so doing her second is decent.

That's just my journey anyway haha

One final point is that I think jocobs region is meant to be last, why? Clutch ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Nixon lol the story readings which leads to nixons supposed death is found in Jacobs region, just feels right tying the adventure off with Jacob.

after doing John then Jacob, i feel like i should done John - Faith - Jacob.

havent done faith yet but i feel like jacob being the more "war oriented" of the 3, would be the best fit, with john being the first.

You are the character. The character thinks only what you think yourself. Only you can say what would you/the character do next.
