Beginning Car Chase Is BS: Best Way To Beat It?

Listen, I'm not new to FarCry, nor am I new to shooters, and as such I decided to play through on hard, but the intro car escape gameplay is trash. Absolute garbage. I stick my head out and I'm immediately shot and dropped to about 10% hp. If I don't stick my head out such as when reloading I'm still able to get shot and the chase becomes a sequence of shoot. Kill two guys, heal, reload, heal, shoot, kill 2 more guys, then finally die once I use the last of my 3 health packs.

There are parts that cheat you of your health too. Anyone on the left? Well you can't shoot them but they sure as hell can shoot you, so in the sequence where you go down the hill towards the train yard, you're guarenteed to take damage from the guys on the left, and there's jack♥♥♥♥♥♥you can do about it, thus you're forced to use another health pack, probably your second to last.

My pride wont let me lower the difficulty (it keeps threatening to choke me out if I do), so to anyone who got past this on hard, what did you do to A.) Avoid taking damage and B.) Take out the cars so in the sequence before the helicopter you're not trying to headshoot multiple vehicle drivers and getting dropped almost immediately.

Beat that part on hard after 8 or so tries.

A) Shoot the gunners in the back of the trucks first that are chasing you
B) Shoot the drivers
C) Shoot the passengers

All you gotta do is shoot faster and accurately. Skill and thought processing is key here.

key thing to remember is EVERYTHING is unlimited so dont be afriad to use anything at your disposal. heal when you get low and use dynamite behind you.

It seems completely random and pot luck to beat this part. I beat it after 10 tries. A friend beat it no problems first try. Both of us playing on hard. Each time I did it things happened differently. Cows blocked the car, then they didn't but the car side swiped them and crashed. Sometimes one cow, sometimes 2.. also look out for the rpg's and kill them as soon as you see them.

Good luck.. once you get through that part the game is great.

What a dumb lie. I've had no trouble on hard in FC5. I've seen unbalanced difficulty levels in other games and this is no where near unbalanced. It's the perfect level of difficulty for the hardest setting. Maybe to a kid who couldn't beat a 90's first person shooter on easy, sure you can call this unbalanced.

I had the easiest times aiming for the drivers asap, and like MothMan already mention, cook that dynamite and throw it just before it explode. So at least you are "safer" while cooking the dynamite than if you were just shooting/leaning out the window.

Edit: Forgott to mention you can shoot through the front window with the pistol. That is, without leaning out.

Christ, I look back and Doom is arguing with Dex:

Okay so:

1.) This is luck based. The RNG gods need to smile on you in order to get past this part. Especially on hard where 3 bullets is enough to drop your guy.

2.) You only need to dynamite 1 car it seems and that's when You're being followed up the hill ( Before the helicoptor )

3.) I wish I could delete this thread.

Acknowledgment:

Lightning: I found that out when I emptied my machine gun clip and tried using my pistol really quick in its place to avoid the reload animation. Apparently you can shoot the driver and lose immediatly which is always fun.

Mothman: Cooking the dynamite was the best advice I've seen in this thread. You gave the best answer thus I'm marking your post as the topic answer.

Dex: I don't even know what to say. You got triggered by "my pride" then proceeded to state the obvious at me. Your comment was useless.

To everyone except Dex, thanks for the advice. Everything about this game other than that part has been fun so far.

died 3 times. then realized i was just using the left click. I saw this discussion topic (i'm literally on the beach recovering from beating it on Hard. Basically i used the space bar to lean out when needed. When driving up to the first checkpoints i wasted the two guys with HS, then next major chkpoint i stayed in the car. I accidentally used a medkit with half health and probably coulda saved it but i ended up barely making it through. I mean you just have to be spot on with your kills and when going through those barriers or checkpoints keep your damn head in the whip., Always try and kill the drivers of the truck too.

I got it on my first try on Hard though I consider myself lucky in that regard. But here are a few things that might help:

-Never ADS. The time it takes to ADS and how fidgety/difficult it is to ADS in a moving car that is bouncing all over the place, makes it more trouble than its worth. Hipfire is perfect enough to spray at any car or person shooting at you. I think this was the main thing that got me thru it.
-Also cook dynamite as others have already mentioned.

everything is unlimited but i believe you only get 3 heals

Which genius though a hard-as-nails, frustrating, scripted car chase right at the beginning of the game would be a nice idea?
I spent the whole day trying and trying over and over again. Tips in this thread are helpful but still, I'm not past this horrible car chase yet. In the meantime, there isn't the least bit of fun left in trying and I'm just annoyed and frustrated.

I have no trouble with the shooting, it’s just that the driver keeps getting us pinned and the car explodes everytime. I’m like trying to get through this first part for 30 mins because this stupid driver rams into unoccupied trucks, trees and the trains, getting us stuck and exploding.
