graphics (primarily in the distance) look very grainy/pixelated
specs: gtx 1070, i7-7700k, 3.6 ghz, 8 gb v-ram, 16 ram

I'm running ultra with antistropic filtering *16 through nvidia control panel w/ v-sync to limit tearing. I get 60 fps, but everything looks grainy if i'm not within 25 ft of it. any suggestions?

also if you have a monitor that is 1440 or UHD, try running at the highest resolution possible.

if youve already done all that, or have a lower res, its just how it is for now unfortunately.

btw, i'm using taa, which is why i use *16 filtering (to make up for lost texture quality)

Probably better off not using TAA, it adds a lot of blur similar to FXAA

TAA is superior quality if you test it. whats your resolution set to?

why you running only 8gb of ram if i may ask? my system uses 14gbs of ram and 7.7 vram and i wont mention pagefile. games use RAM extensively for textures. for example in Witcher, there was an autodetection in red engine for the total amount of textures to load for VRAM use which was based on RAM and VRAM. have you considered upgrading to at least 16gb or ddr4? im pretty certain that would help as you could probably turn up to 1440 or even UHD.

this game has AA set up for consoles from what i can tell and if youre running at 1080p there isnt anything you can do. i believe theyre using 512k and 1024k textures and resolution scaling depending on Resolution picked

take a look at my Screenshots of the game. its UHD with TAA, Nvidia control panel 16x AA, 8x anistropic filtering, 8x supersampling, and FXAA. ive tested with all settings and from my opinion on a 55"4k these settings are most superior. also consider that Steam reduces pic quality.
