Grappling hook .... what a waste.
When I feel this would be the perfect time for it´s use the mandatory "icon" isn´t there, like a certain stash silo which I already knew could be entered in a different way. So many places I could think where the hook could be useful, it should be "free use" and not icon based thus giving the player some alternative choices.

I really like the game, just neatpicking while having a break. :)

Is that the silo you're supposed to rope into from a tree? Cannot get to it either. I've actually stopped playing because of it.

No trees in the silo I was thinking about, the one I am refering to is near the place where you search for UFO objects. It has a perfect spot for a grappling hook, however there is only one solution to get in which is pretty obvious. I just wish the developers would have implemented a "real" grappling hook.

The tree isn't near the silo. It's way up a hillside and you're supposed to start this fast-rope adventure from a house on a hill top. However when I get to one of the trees I fast roped to I can't get to the next tree.

But, yeah - more grappling hook options would be nice.

Aaah ... I think you need to jump to a platform on the next tree by running and jumping, I died a few times learning the basics as I did that one early on. I kept falling from pressing the wrong buttons.

there's a mission for it. go to the very top of the mountain, there should be a ranger station there. The mission started there for me.

Right, but there's one tree you have to jump from to get to another tree and I hit the ground every time.

Run and jump, I didn't fall once during that mission so it isn't all that hard.
