Normal or Hard

Should I play Normal or Hard? I have heard Normal can be challenging but easy.

Get the cougar, it helps a ton, you can clear outposts cougar-only. Srsly.
Later, get the bear.
Then the Helicopter lady. You got an on-demand chopper then.

Easy = Normal, Normal = Hard, Hard = Ultra Hard
or at least thats the way it seems.

1- Talk to EVERYONE. Especially those with a (!) and <!>. They will tell you about places to go check out (opens waypoints around the Map)
2- Get the Lockpick Perk as soon as you can so you can open safes. BIG $$$. It sucks to have to go find unopen ones again.
3- Get the 3rd Weapon slot Perk as soon as you can.
4- Unlock, buy and upgrade to the best weapons as soon as you can
5- If you want to play Stealthy, get Peaches (Cougar) and Jess Black (Huntress) Both will clear an Outpost undetected, with the right directions, in no time. (best for when you cant get Hostages killed)
6- If you like Mass Exposive Action, then Nick and Hurk are your team.
7- Go slow, explore, take your time and have fun.

Normal is what the game is balanced around. Easy is a joke and Hard has some really questionable sections. I always just stick to normal for these games.

Hard. The initial on-rails sequence is a ♥♥♥♥♥ (you will die a lot) but is not reflective of the rest of the game which is hard but not maddeningly so. Cuz after 10 hours you get enough guns and money that the difficulty is a non-issue, it'd be waaaaay too easy on normal where I'm currently at (cleared 1 out of 3 regions).

You dont need the locpick perk to open safes, you can use explosives to blow them open. I don't have the perk as there are others I want more and jsut use explisves to blow the safes.

Lockpicking is also useful to open locked doors that otherwise require specific keys lying around somewhere. I save the explosives for enemy vehicles as I prefer not to carry an RPG around.
