Which pays better or does it matter?

Hunting, definitely. It's faster because you can use baits to attract animals, unlike fish, aside from the fact fishing is slower and you can't catch them with anything other than the rod.

Hunting with a bow and that "more loot from animals" perk, should be by far and away the best way to earn money. Killing with a bow grants double skins like in FC4 (just FC5 doesn't tell you this) so its upped to 2 skins, and killing with a bow while having the animal perk doubles the 2, into 4.

So for a wolf, normally is 170$ for one skin. Under the terms above, the same wolf pays 680$.

All true, I think hunting buffalo and whatever other animals spawn in a certain area is the fastest. Need the .50 cal to one shot the Bison though.

There's a spot like north, slightly west of Joseph's island compound. There's a little garage along the road and to the west of that is a Bison spot. There's a vendor usually on the river across from the docks.

Just run up and down the river, run into the marsh and around the island, throwing bait and shooting Bison in the head. They spawn non-stop. Fill up Bison skins, go sell, repeat.

There's a small lake just outside the north boundary of Jacob's region with a vendor. Do an online search. It's above the broken bridge, where you can spawn and wing suit in. Antlered animals spawn frequently in the field to the right, no bait needed. And cougar and Grizzlies to the left with bait. Use a 50 cal + scope and you can get $5-10K very quickly.

1. Equip bow
2. Go to Fall's End
3. There are fields nearby (with cows)
4. Kill cows, for bait
5. Throw bait
6. Kill bears and wolfs
6.1 If you lack of baits, just kill more cows
7. Sell, and profit.
8. Repeat.

i would say both is better all depend how you want to make fast cash but that is my opnion
