How is your game loading time?

Compared to what I have seen on youtube for consoles my PC is superfast. I don't have time to read the text in loading screens.

SSDs are fast, but also CPU and memory speed make a change on loading screens.
I'm running 4 cores at 4.2Ghz which is of course not something the consoles have.

I used to get 2 screens of disclaimers to first load, maybe after about 10 sec. Hit Escape. Then an AMD logo, Escape. Then a picture of the UBI barn, Escape. Then Logging on, and then the Continue screen. Then maybe another 10 sec for the game to actually start. I actually never timed it.

Now with skip intro I start at the Logging on screen, and total time from clicking on the FC5 desktop icon to actual game play is 30 sec.

I've got an i7 7700K running at 5Ghz. 16 GB of RAM running at 3600. NV 1080Ti 11GB. Various SSD's a few years old.

How does one do this in just a few seconds?

I don't load the full game in just a few seconds, but between level loads it is very fast, although I'm sure it could be made even faster without loading that picture and text, just skip them alltogether.

Not really. Loading the picture maybe adds 0.00001 seconds to the loading time. It is only to hide assets popping in the existence when they are loaded in the world.

It's not merely a picture though, you can see the animation slowing down slightly because it is not fully read in or at least there is a spike in CPU usage which causes it to slow down.

Even removing the picture when booting windows on normal harddrives made the process a few seconds quicker (I used a tool to measure this accurately at the time). It's completely pointless to waste time to load things which are utterly uncessary. I still quickly remove it even though I'm one of the faster consumer rate SSDs.
