Unplayable due to continual crashing
Love the game but after nearly 30 hours it now crashes to desktop every few minutes making it pretty much unplayable.
I have well above required specs (1080ti etc...), up to date drivers and Win 10 64 bit so totally lost as to the cause.
Anyone had crashes like this and found a fix?

Very frustrating...

It was pagefile for me. If one searches the Event Viewer (Windows Logs->System) after a crash to desktop, there is an entry there: Windows successfully diagnosed a low virtual memory condition. The following programs consumed the most virtual memory: FarCry5.exe (9292) consumed blablabla

Setting virtual memory to 'System managed size' resolved the issue. BUT. It's just hilarious: FarCry5 takes up to 5GB of RAM and 14GB of virtual memory. And I have 16GB of RAM. That's some weird sh...

It may be somethings else for you, but still, go to system viewer and check if there is an explanation there.

I disabled my arous graphics driver software that tunes my gpu and controls lighting. Fixed my issues.

I had the same problem after my page file disappeared after a re-installation of Windows 10. I made a 4GB page file on another SSD and no more FC5 crashes.

I had major crashing issues a while back on FC4. My system ran fine with other less demanding games.
It turned out after many headaches to be my POWER SUPPLY! It would drop voltage only during demanding gaming.

So, run a voltage monitoring program as well!

Had the same problem. Rolled back the drivers on my graphics card, fixed it. Thought id share if it help anyone else.

Another day another talk with Ubisoft. So far Ubisoft is unable to figure out the exact problem and have been using me as a test dummy it seems. Everything has on my side, computer wise, has failed to change the outcome. I'll keep you guys posted.
