It probably won't be 6 months, they usually do a small sale like a month after a game comes out, right at the end of the advertising and hype period. At the latest it would probably be when the first DLC drops.

Just Cause was an out of the box title for me, it came with my video card, but it was one of the most fun games I ever played. It's not as "pretty" as Far Cry, but you can blow up EVERYTHING and it is fun af. I strongly dislike 3rd person shooters, too.

This game never was a buggy mess. But you'll see s.hit where you want to see s.hit.

Must be one of the most polished AAA titles I've seen in the past decade. AC:Origins and FC5 restored my faith in Ubisoft.

well i like to research before i drop big money on new releases to see if its worth it or not. i wasnt happy about the new setting or story line from the moment i found out about it but i like farcry games nonetheless . 90% of the videos ive seen are full of bugs and glitches which does not sound very appealing .

so you have experienced no bugs or glitches that shouldnt be in a AAA game ? i had no gamebreaking experiences with any other farcry games but this one seems to be full of them.. a few friends of mine have even stated to stay away until its fixed.

On second playthrough and only had one minor bug. Animal I was about to shoot sank into the ground and disappeared. I'm sorry I paid full price for this because of the ending. Gameplay is solid so wait for a sale down the road and pray for another ending like ME3.
I personally only experienced one bug during a story mission where I was supposed to hand in the quest by talking to the NPC, who got freaked out by enemies and after the coast was clear, did not update the mission when i talked to him, so I had to reload a checkpoint and then it worked. Some minor bugs here and there but most people seem to have enjoyed and finished the game successfully.

Looks like most of the problems are on consoles and co-op play, so avoid that for now. I'm kind of disappointed I haven't seen any of those things (except sinking deer). Pretty hilarious.

So don't get it? It sounds like you really don't want it but like the FC formula?

Might want to give a look to Just Cause 3 and the newer Homefront JC3 is not exactly the same formula, but it is fun as hell and shares a lot of elements of FC5, the biggest issue would probably be that it is 3rd person.

The new Home Front: The Revolution could have been a Far Cry Game. Not as much humor, but the set up and formula is almost identical.
