Alpha Animals

Just wondering if there is an alpha variant of the cougar in the game?(i mean the animals lol).

There is an alpha version of every animal. Predators are very rare though. I hunt a lot and deliberately in the game, and the only alpha predators I’ve come across are a bear (which got away), a wolverine (bagged it), and a wolf (they’re the most common). I’ve seen an alpha cougar, but got killed when I tried to get close (bow only challenge on hard mode, go figure).
