Cutscene incompetence, at it's finest. I wanted so much to put a bullet through Faith's skull.
I read plenty, and do get emotional, but this game just didn't induce any emotion other than anger (and occasional laughter at the whims of the chaotic environment). It's a Far Cry game, it isn't supposed to be as poignant as This War of Mine or TWD S1.
That just shows that you are not accepting of change. If you want a game series that stays consistent with the way it handles it's story, then go for Call of Duty. They literally never change.
It's not that it isn't consistent, it's that there isn't as strong of a story to latch onto and become emotionally involved in. If it had more of a build-up, then I could see it, but the game started with a bang and never lets up.
And no shots fired with the COD joke. Same team.
Well the story gives enough support to the game to make it enjoyable. If it isn't your taste then it isn't. If you feel the story doesn't support the gameplay then you don't. At least you still have the gameplay, which is what Far Cry is mostly about.
