Farcry has never been about lots of choices. It's a sandbox shooter, not Skyrim.
I was given choices in the other games that mattered, this wouldn't have been a hard thing to do.
But on the whole, FC has had a set story they are telling and a small number of endings. In the story they are telling, Eli dies.
On the one hand I understand Ubisoft that they are just telling us a story and in it the MC kills Eli. On the other hand I don't like that they give you the illusion of choice. You are constantly forced into captivity of the different liuetenants and unexplicably get freed or escape every single time. Sure, you could argue that Jacob for instance sets you free because he wants you to be trusted by the people at the Wolf's Den. But the other siblings should have just killed you the second time they got their hands on you.
My thoughts :) Otherwise the game creates a magnificent atmosphere with fantastic music!
But why the HELL does a whole outpost go on full alert once I silence-snipe a watchout that no one of the other peggies can see??!!?!
Was like "ehh oh well" when I saw that was Eli, slightly bummed that he couldn't give any more missions.
An option to chose whould be very cool, but overall if so, there is a lot to work to do to keep the story on. New dialogues, new or other missions, another ending - too much opportunitis.
